In the end I taught myself Greggs. It was the system my Gran had learned back in the 1930s and she sent me the textbook. I'm really glad I know it. Like you say it's a lot easier to just scribble down what someone's saying than to spend ages listening through incomprehensible dictaphone recordings!!Gledwoodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09308172310486574510noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5514378008400567712.post-72629721850691926012012-02-22T21:21:06.493+00:002012-02-22T21:21:06.493+00:00I'm really pleased it's recognisable as Te...I'm really pleased it's recognisable as Teeline, Caroline! Haven't met anybody who can do shorthand (other than me) for about 15 years - definitely a dying art. She was absolutely wonderful. She had a real joie de vivre but I think you're right. She was probably older than 60-ish. Her pin-up in our class was Alastair Campbell. He was brilliant at shorthand and did his 100wpm way before anyone else.Emma Lee-Potterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17941667739851280595noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5514378008400567712.post-73303813902022720032012-02-18T19:38:40.458+00:002012-02-18T19:38:40.458+00:00I really recommend shorthand, Nicola. We ALL use keyboards now, but nobody seems to learn to type any more.
