What is it about Christmas
trees? No matter how hard I try they just won’t stay straight. I bought a special
(and rather ugly) tree stand this year but the tree is still leaning at a Tower
of Pisa-style angle. Apart from that, we’re all set for Christmas. I’ve
collected the turkey, wrapped everyone’s present and am happily listening to A
Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, broadcast live from King’s College,
Cambridge.
There’s sure to be
something I’ve forgotten (bin bags for one) but by Christmas Eve it’s too late
to worry about anything. All that’s left to do right now is to say a big thank you for reading
House With No Name in 2012 and wish everyone a very happy Christmas.
Love from Emma xx
Christmas trees never stay straight! For me, they should be covered with lights and hung with decorations and baubles collected over the years which are infused with tiny but significant memories.
ReplyDeleteThat's all you need in a tree.;-)
What a lovely comment, Alison. You sum up exactly how a Christmas tree should be! I hope you all had a fantastic family Christmas in France.
DeleteHappy New Year, Emma!! I can't wait to see what 2013 has in store for us.
